cvEyeTracker 1.2.5 is a C/C++ script for Communication Tools scripts design by Derrick Parkhurst.
It runs on following operating system: Linux / BSD. cvEyeTracker aims to provide tools for eye movement data collection from inexpensive, off-the-shelf hardware.
Publisher review: cvEyeTracker aims to provide tools for eye movement data collection from inexpensive, off-the-shelf hardware. cvEyeTracker captures frames at 640x480 pixels from two cameras using the YUV411 video mode. The user selects the region of interest (ROI) corresponding to the subject eye. The coordinates of this rectangle specify the size of the binary images of the pupil and corneal reflection. Dilation is applied to the corneal reflection and then a contour analysis is performed on both corneal reflection and pupil threshold images. The program looks for candidate pupil or corneal reflection contours and then fits an ellipse to these points. Once the pupil is detected a region of interest window is determined relative to the center of the current pupil position. Contour candidates located in the corneal reflection ROI are processed and checked against a particular ellipse size threshold. The difference between the center coordinates of the corneal reflection and pupil is calculated. The results are passed to a function that maps this relationship to coordinates relative to the scene image. The relationship between the pupil-corneal difference and scene coordinates is computed from a 9-point calibration process. Operating system: Linux / BSD
